About Us
- Puurgen was established in February 2008 as a spin out venture of Clyde Space with the goal of delivering micro-renewable energy systems to consumers. Identifying a need to meet small-scale renewable energy challenges, John Charlick concluded that designing and supplying clean, sustainable energy resonated with his passion for developing future energy supplies.
With over 15 years in the mobile communications industry John Charlick brings extensive experience in identifying customer needs, designing and delivering solutions and building customer relationships to his role as Puurgen's CEO. Providing guidance and forging approaches to new markets is a key element of John's role.
Stephen Charlick joined Puurgen full-time in March 2011. Having been involved with Puurgen as a review-authority since the company's inception, Stephen is now Operations Director and is tasked with building on the foundations that Puurgen have established since 2008. With over 10 years in the Space Industry, Stephen brings extensive experience in managing projects from design to test and through to delivery to end users. Having worked on over 15 high-value space missions and numerous smaller contracts, Stephen is well equipped to ensure that Puurgen's daily operations align with the company's vision of supplying clean, sustainable energy to consumers.
Puurgen have delivered a number of systems to a wide range of customers, with notable success. Supplying solutions to the communications, security, CCTV, engineering and retail industries amongst others Puurgen have established themselves as market-leaders in affordable renewable energy systems for low power applications.
Puurgen's Solar CCTV System has proven to be their vanguard. Enabling surveillance in remote locations that were previously vulnerable to crime, the Solar CCTV System forms the backbone of Puurgen's sales and is the product that Puurgen believe will continue their ascent.
